November 05 Enrolment Service
Annual event held 1st Sunday in November the joint enrolment service
of the BB & GB.
A chance for the girls to see what they have learnt during the
year and a chance to take part in a service where they are the main
participants.
This year we did the story of Noah's Ark. Took over the lounge
at one part but made the story more effective. Janet told the story
and the girls acted it out.
We sang, did some prayers. It was a family celebration for all
ages. Those that take part really enjoy it.

Tanzania Celebration Service
This year we have done a pen friend badge for the whole company.
We were lucky to have Naomi from Tanzania to come and visit us as
she was working over hear for a year. So we organised this special
occasion for so she could tell our pen friends in Tarimmie all about
us.
It was a real special time. We learnt a song in
Swahili specially written for us by Dave Gordon.
We performed our winning Dance, did some short sketches, where we
pretended to be families in Tanzani to show what really happens
out there when there are no Dr's or hospitals or transport etc for
miles a& miles.
We did some lively singing and had most of the people there, dancing
round the church singing we are Marching in the Light of God.
Naomi told us all about her country with some startling facts and
figures and stories.
We took a collection and along with some other fundraising were
able to send £100 out to Tanzania. Not much for us but a lot
for them.
It was a memorable moving experience. We hope other companies will
be able to do the same.

Figure Marching
A great favourite. Many of the parents love to watch us do this
on a Wednesday evening and think it is very very good.

Badge Work (just a few samples)
Sewing:
chosen by the senior section themselves. With the help of Mrs Judith
Bates they have learned some new techniques and produced some brilliant
work
Display Work: Again chosen by the Seniors themselves. Mrs Beryl
Harris helped with this one. You may have seen our GB display board
in the hall over Christmas or the windows in the church decorated
on an Autumn theme for our enrollment service. Very impressive.
Appreciation of Music: taught by Cathy to the juniors was a joy
to listen to.
Drama: with Mrs Lymath for the Explores looks good we will be presenting
this later in the year.
Small Apparatus Skills: Completed by the Explorer section. These
skills maybe you and I would have learnt in the play ground as a
matter of course, but can be quite difficult for some of today's
children.

Christmas Party 05 with the Boys
Another year goes by. Joint party this year with a professional
DJ. Don't you wish you could bend and move like these girls? (where
were the boys). Sure I used to do this sort of thing - seems a long
time ago.

Competitions Day 05
We love this, we get to e with other girls in the district. There
is Team games, craft, spiritual dance, some times drama or what
ever the leaders decide.
We are VERY VERY good at the spiritual dance. We came 1st this
year and have performed it in Church on 2 occasions. We wear special
sparkly tops.

Buttons & Bows
Explorer badge work. Mrs Lymath taught the explorers how to fasten
a variety of fasteners. Mrs Cameron came and we showed her how well
we could do. We all passed our badge.

Other things we've done
Figure
marching an old item not done in many other groups for children.
Our lot well they love it (probably because it is something different)
Pity we don't have competitions in this any more. Looks easy but
can be very complicated particularly getting the leaders who are
the teenagers to take smaller steps so the little ones can keep
up.
